After a long drive on rough roads, and one flat tire, the CAAP Team (Mthokozisi Moyo and Thoboni Ncube) and the Bridge Project’s Manning Sutton arrived at Moyo’s mother’s house in Nkayi, Zimbabwe. A very nice, comfortable “community-built” home for us to spend the night awaited us, and after dinner, we fell fast asleep.
In the morning we visited the local schools. Our first stop was at Gwitshi Primary school where we introduced the staff to the Bridge Pi. The training session lasted all morning and included a presentation by the children, and a visit to the classroom. In the afternoon we did a training of (older) students and teachers at the secondary school.
Special thanks to Gwitshi’s Principal Mrs. K. Ndlovu and Gwitshi’s champion teacher, Ms. L.B Msimanga.
