USACF is partnering with Brooklyn Community Services in support of the new “Mobile Care Unit” project. The “Shower Bus” program will provide not just hot showers, but also peer counseling, access to resources, and support with housing, mental health, and employment. The USACF team is drawing upon its expertise gained from our work in Africa pulling resources together and curating them in easily accessible digital libraries. In partnership with BCS we are creating a website for clients of the Mobile Care Unit. In the coming weeks we will field test the website and consider the benefits of adding a “Bridge Pi” digital library on board to provide reliable, easy access to the broad array of resources available to this underserved community.
